A Sacramento probationer is in custody at the Sacramento County Jail after she allegedly tried to cash a stolen check.

Yesterday afternoon 44-year old Lachelle Maultsby was detained at the Patelco Credit Union on East Stockton Boulevard after she attempted to cash a check that had been reported stolen. A subsequent probation search of her residence led to the discovery of another stolen check.

Maultsby is being held on two misdemeanor charges, for violating her probation and is not eligible for bail. The suspect will be arraigned tomorrow afternoon.
