Elk Grove Police Bust Another Residential Marijuana Grow Operation

February 29, 2016 |

On Friday morning, police busted-up another alleged marijuana grow operation in Elk Grove.

Detectives from the Elk Grove Police department served a search warrant on the 9500 block of Castleshore Court on the city's northwest side and detained 41-year old Andrew Van Mach (pictured above). The search led to the discovery of an indoor grow operation comprised of over 400 plants.

In addition to the plants, detectives found that the electricity to the residence had been allegedly bypassed. Mach was arrested and is being held at the county jail facing three felony charges but is not eligible for release because of the seriousness of the crime. Mach is scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday afternoon.
