Suspects Jump Counter, Rob Elk Grove Walgreens of Prescription Drugs

Two unknown men robbed an Elk Grove Walgreens of prescription drugs on Friday night.

According to Elk Grove Police, two men entered the Walgreens on the corner of Franklin Boulevard and Laguna Boulevard and walked into the pharmacy area. Both suspects then jumped the counter and physically forced two pharmacy workers to another area of the pharmacy.

The suspects took several prescription medications before leaving the pharmacy area. The suspects exited the store and were last seen running away on foot. 

The first suspect was described as 6’0”, with a skinny build and was wearing a black hooded sweat jacket, tan pants and dark colored shoes. The second suspect was 5’8”, with a skinny build and was wearing a gray hooded sweat jacket, blue jeans and black shoes. 

Responding officers were unable to locate the suspects and the employees were not injured.
