An Elk Grove probationer was taken into custody after a surveillance recording led to his arrest.

On Friday afternoon Elk Grove Police officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of White Lotus Way in response to a residential burglary. During the course of their investigation, police watched a neighbor's video surveillance recording showed a suspect who was known by officers as a probationer.

Officers attempted to contact 20-year old Zachary Hull at his residence. Although Hull was not home, officers executed a probation search of his bedroom and found electronic equipment that had been reported stolen from the White Lotus Way residence as well as other suspected stolen property.

Hull was located later and was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property and violating the conditions of his probation. Hull is being held at the county jail on $75,000 bail and will be arraigned this afternoon.
