Elk Grove Police Arrest Suspect in Possession of Multiple Credit Cards, Bail Set at $570,000

April 12, 2016 |

Two suspects were arrested yesterday afternoon after one was found in possession of stolen credit cards.

Elk Grove Police officers responded to the Kohl's department store on Calvine Road regarding a fraudulent credit card purchase made by 34-year old Afou Saelee (pictured above) of Sacramento. Upon contact, officers found Saelee in possession of multiple credit cards belonging to other people and a driver's license not in his name.

Police also contacted 35-year old Sylvia Soltero (pictured below) of Sacramento who was accompanying Saelee. A records check revealed that Soltero had several criminal arrest warrants issued by El Dorado and Placer counties.

Both suspects were arrested and booked into the county jail. Soltero is not eligible for bail and is facing charges of willingly disobedience of a court order, writing bad checks, making false financial statements, non-payment of a hotel or restaurant bill, and violation of probation. No arraignment date is set in Sacramento Superior Court.

Saelee is being held on $570,000 bail and is scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday afternoon.
