Elk Grove's Wackford Center Open as Cooling Center

With the continued triple-digit temperatures, The Cosumnes Community Service District has opened the Wackford Center as a community cooling center for Elk Grove and South Sacramento residents.

Located at 9014 Bruceville Road  on the corner of Big Horn Boulevard, the center will be open today and tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Water will be provided but no pets other than service animals are permitted.
