Elk Grove Police Traffic Stops Leads to Arrest of Two Suspects

July 6, 2016 |

Traffic stops by Elk Grove Police yesterday led to the arrest of two suspects with outstanding arrest warrants in separate incidents yesterday.

The first arrest came shortly mid-morning when a vehicle being operated by 64-year old Victor L. Brazelton of Sacramento was stopped for a vehicle code violation near Elk Grove Boulevard and Harbour Pointe Drive. A record check revealed that Brazelton has an active arrest warrant.

Brazelton is being held at the county jail on a misdemeanor driving with a suspended license and felony criminal conspiracy. The suspect is not eligible for bail and arraignment is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

Late last night 47-year old Horace Simpson was stopped for a vehicle code violation near Calvine Road and Grand Cru Drive. A record check found that Simpson had an outstanding arrest warrant, and he was taken into custody, is being held at the county jail, and is not eligible for release because of a parole violation. Arraignment has not be scheduled.
