Domestic Violence Suspect Threatens Victims With Knife, Tasered After Resisting Elk Grove PD



An Elk Grove man suspected of domestic violence is in custody today after resisting arrest last night.

Late last night Elk Grove Police officers were dispatched in response to a domestic violence incident. The suspect, 45-year old Elliot Danfield allegedly threatened his victim and others with a knife. 

When police officers contacted Danfield, he reportedly would not follow instructions and took an aggressive stance as he was approached. Danfied was taken into custody after an officer deployed his Taser. 

After he was medically cleared, Danfield was arrested and booked into the county jail where he is being held on a $50,000 facing three misdemeanor and three felony charges including domestic violence and child endangerment. Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, August 15 at 1:30 p.m.
