UPDATED - Elk Grove Police Releases Videos, Images Associated With Last Week's Park Shooting

Elk Grove Police released images today they hope will help identify a suspect and his accomplices wanted in connection to a shooting at an Elk Grove park.

In that incident that happened at 3:41 p.m. on Friday, September 30 at Fales Park on the 8400 block of Auberry Drive near Monterrey Trail High school two boys ages 16 and 17 were shot by an unknown suspect. The two victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and were treated at an area hospital.

During the investigation, officers developed information and obtained video surveillance that captures the primary suspect and two associates before the shooting (photos above, click to enlarge). The primary suspect was described as an African-American male with a dark complexion, approximately 19-years old, 5'7", with a thin build and bushy uncombed hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and black with white mid-sole athletic shoes.

The second suspect was described as an African-American male with a light complexion, approximately 19, 5'10", with a thin build and medium-length dreadlocks with blond-died tips. He was wearing a black short-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and black athletic shoes.

The last suspect was described as a Caucasian male, approximately 19, 5'9", with a thin build and dirty blond hair worn in a “man-bun.” He was wearing a blue, red, and white short-sleeve t-shirt, black pants, and white athletic shoes.

Anyone with information regarding this shooting is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers to Crime Alert can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00. Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
