October 3, 2016 |

Over a three-day period ending last night, three Elk Grove fast food restaurants within walking distance of one another were robbed at gunpoint.

The first incident happened at the Jack in the Box on Laguna and Franklin Boulevards on Friday shortly after 3 a.m. when a suspect confronted an employee with a handgun. The suspect, who was described as Hispanic or Pacific Islander, 5`6"-5`8", 170-180 lbs., wearing black clothing, took currency from the cash register and fled on foot.

The second incident happened on Saturday at 6:24 a.m. when an unknown suspect entered the Starbucks on the 5000 block of Laguna Boulevard and confronted an employee with a handgun and demanded cash.  The gunman removed currency from the cash registers and fled the location on foot. The gunman was described as being Hispanic, 5`7, 140-150 lbs., wearing black clothing and was armed with a handgun.

The weekend's third incident happened at the Subway store also on the 5000 block of Laguna Boulevard. The description of that event, which happened late Sunday night, can be read here.

No arrests were made in any of the incidents, and no security videos have been released.
