Elk Grove Police Make Arrest in Old Town Robbery

November 4, 2016 |

Elk Grove Police announced an arrest has been made in connection with last weekend's robbery of the Old Town General Store.

Last Sunday morning, the male suspect entered the store located at 9032 Elk Grove Boulevard, displayed a note demanding money, and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. Through investigative efforts and tips from the community, the suspect was identified as 29-year-old Ridge Williams Phillips (pictured above).

Officers arrested Phillips late Wednesday evening after a vehicle stop. After conducting additional follow-up, detectives have been unable to connect Phillips to the recent robbery at Tiger’s Yogurt.

Phillips is being held at the county jail on $50,000 bail with no arraignment date set.
