Identified Suspect Rams Stockton Police Car, Eludes Arrest

Stockton, Calif. - A Stockton Police officer was the victim of an attempted assault with a vehicle on Saturday, November 19. 

At approximately 10:49 a.m. a patrol officer was flagged down regarding a disturbance near F and Oak streets regarding a disturbance.  Upon contacting a group of people, they all started to scatter. 

The officer attempted to detain the suspect, but he failed to comply. The suspect jumped into his vehicle, put it in reverse and smashed into the police unit with the officer seated inside. 

The suspect took off and led the officer on a short pursuit before fleeing on foot into the block. The officer located a loaded firearm in the vehicle and was able to positively identify the suspect as David Allen Brown 

Brown, who is described as a white male adults, is wanted for two outstanding felony warrants including assault with a deadly weapon on an officer, felony evading and weapons charges. There was not report of injury to the officer.
