Stockton Woman Arrested After Attempting Attack on Police Officer, K-9 with Hot Grease

November 29, 2016 |

A Stockton woman was taken into custody late last night after she allegedly tried assaulting a police officer and a K-9 unit with hot grease.

Shortly after 11 p.m on Monday, November 28, Stockton Police Officers responded to the 8000 block of Montgomery Avenue regarding a report of a suspect trying to set a kitchen on fire with a pot of hot grease. Upon contract, officers contacted 46-year old Elsarie Deloney in the kitchen as the pot was smoking.

As the suspect held the pot of hot grease, officers attempted to talk to her without success. A Taser was deployed as the suspect threw hot grease on officers as well as a Police K-9.

Deloney was taken into custody and is being held on $130,000 bail for assault on an officer, assault on a police K-9 and resisting arrest. Neither the K-9 nor any Officers were significantly injured.
