A man who allegedly led police on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle alluded apprehension after crashing the vehicle in Elk Grove.

On the evening of Saturday, December 16, Elk Grove Police located an occupied vehicle on near Grant Line and Survey roads that had reportedly been involved in a vehicle burglary in Galt and possibly Elk Grove. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver did not stop and led police on a one mile pursuit.
