December 14, 2016 |

Fairfield, Calf. - On Saturday December 10 at about 9:05 p.m. Fairfield Police Dispatch received several calls of shots being fired in the 800 block of East Travis Blvd. Officers arrived and found one person injured as a result of the gunfire.

The male victim was transported to a local trauma center where he was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Sulpicio Rios, a 19 year old Fairfield resident.

Detectives from the Investigations Bureau are currently investigating this incident and there is no further information available at this time.

A short time later, at about 9:41 p.m., Fairfield Police Dispatch received numerous calls of shots being fired inside a residence in the 600 block of Greentree Circle. Callers reported a large party at the residence with at least 100 people in attendance.

Due to the number of people involved and the number of officers working the earlier shooting scene, assistance was requested from the Solano County Sheriff’s Department, the California Highway Patrol, the Vacaville Police Department and the Vallejo Police Department.

An extensive search of the area was conducted for any possible suspects and victims. Officers learned that a gunshot victim, who had been dropped off at a hospital in Vallejo, received non-life threatening injures as a result of this incident.

This is an active investigation and there is no further information available at this time. These shootings are separate, unrelated incidents.
