Elk Grove Man Arrested on Suspicion of Child Endangerment, Domestic Violence

January 10, 2017 |

An Elk Grove man is in custody at the Sacramento County Jail after he was arrested on several charges last night following an alleged domestic violence incident.

The suspect, 31-year old Bobby Eugene Garrett, was involved in an argument with his victim that escalated into a physical confrontation. Garrett allegedly punched his victim twice in the face in the presence of children, fled the residence in the victim's vehicle without permission with one of the children.

Garrett then drove back to the residence, he exited the vehicle and reportedly struck the victim in the face. The child, who had been in the car, was able to exit the vehicle and returned home.

After driving away from the residence the second time, responding officers attempted to stop Garrett who then led officers on a five mile pursuit. Garrett eventually pulled over in the 9000 block of Hooded Crane Court and was taken into custody.

Garrett, who is not eligible for bail, is being held on several charges including child endangerment and domestic violence. Arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday, January 11.
