Elk Grove Police to Host 'Coffee With a Cop' Session

January 19, 2017 |

As part of their on-going public outreach effort, the Elk Grove Police will be hosting a Coffee with a Cop community meeting.

Officers from the department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit will be available to answer questions from members of the community on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Starbucks located at 2300 Longport Court #100.

The “Coffee with a Cop” program is a unique way to strengthen the partnership between the police department and the community it serves.

“In order to be successful as a police department, we have to continue developing the strong relationships that we already have within the community,” Elk Grove Police Chief Bryan Noblett said. “We believe that this type of open dialogue plays a critical role in establishing a true partnership between the community and the police department.”

Members of the community will be able to ask specific or general questions related to the neighborhoods where they reside. For additional information, please contact Crime Prevention Officer Andrew Bornhoeft at (916) 478-8117.

Additional dates and locations will be posted on the Elk Grove Police Department’s web site  as they become available.
