Steel Company Relocates Offices, 19 Employees From Stockton to Elk Grove

January 5, 2017 |

The City of Elk Grove announced a Stockton, Calif.-based company has relocated its corporate offices to the City bringing with it 19 employees.

PDM Steel Service Centers, Inc. announced it has leased a 10,000 square foot space at a Jackson Properties office building located at 9245 Laguna Springs Drive. With this lease, this property, which came on line just as the Great Recession occurred, brings that facility to 100-percent occupancy.

PDM Steel is now operating in Elk Grove. The company employs approximately 19 management and administrative staff, although no new employees were added with the relocation.

“We’re very excited to welcome PDM Steel to Elk Grove,” Elk Grove Mayor Steve Ly said.

A subsidiary of Los Angeles-based Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. (NYSE:RS), PDM supplies steel in the western United States with ten service locations in California, Washington, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, and Utah.

The City did not report the distribution of any economic incentive monies in this relocation.
