UPDATED ARREST INFORMATION - Sacramento Police Investigate South Land Park Quadruple Murder, Suspect Detained in San Franciso

Sacramento Police have arrested 56-yr old Salvador R. Vasquez-Oliva who is in custody at the Sacramento County Mail Jail where he is being held ineligible for bail. Vasquez-Oliva is scheduled for arraignment in Department 62 of the Sacramento Superior Court on Monday, March 27.

Police have not released any further details on their investigation. |

Sacramento Police are on the scene of a quadruple murder in Sacramento's South Land Park neighborhood.

Police first reported the murder at 10 a.m. today on social media. The murder occurred on the 1100 block of 35th Avenue. A suspect has been detained in San Francisco.

The investigation has resulted in the closure of 35th Avenue and police have advised traffic in the area will be affected. 

The victim's names will be released by the Sacramento Coroner's office pending notification next of kin. No further information regarding the circumstances have been immediately made available.
