Woman Assaulted, Robbed in Elk Grove Parking Lot

A woman suffered an injury after being attacked and robbed in an Elk Grove parking lot.

The victim, who was returning to her car in a parking lot on the 7500 block of Laguna Boulevard shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, when she was approached from behind by an unknown man. When the victim turned around, the suspect briefly spoke before hitting her on the chin resulting in a minor injury.

After the victim fell to the ground, the suspect stole her backpack and fled the area on foot. Responding Elk Grove Police officers were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as a black male adult, approximately 5' 6" with dark twists in his hair and wearing a black beanie, a gray puffy vest and blue jeans.
