Elk Grove Mayor, Council Member Report Gifts They Accepted in 2016

Elk Grove Mayor Steve Ly and Elk Grove Council Member Darren Suen reported the gifts they received in 2016 in their state-mandated statement of economic interests. Suen's report shows receipt by the Elk Grove City Clerk's office on March 7 but was not posted until April 3, while Ly's report shows a time stamp of April 3, past the March 31 deadline. 

Like their council colleagues Steve Detrick and Pat Hume, Ly and Suen both participated in the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce's annual Cap to Cap lobbying trip to Washington DC in 2016 with both reporting similar gifts. 

Suen reported attending functions in Washington DC sponsored by Republic Services, Sutter Health, Downey Brand LLP, Teichert Aggregate, Sacramento Association of Realtors, and Law Offices of Gregaroy Thatch.
