Elk Grove Police Rescue 14-year Old Sexual Trafficking Victim, Arrest Elk Grove Man on Pimping, Assault Charges

An Elk Grove man is in custody at the Sacramento County Jail after he was found to be pimping a missing teenage girl from Seattle.

Elk Grove Police arrested Robert Michael Taylor, 40, on the 9400 block of Harbour Point Drive on the city's west side just before 6 p.m. Taylor was arrested on suspicion of pimping, pandering and sexual assault of the 14-year old female victim.

The victim has been reported as a missing person by the Seattle Police Department. The victim was located in Taylor's residence where she was removed and placed in an alternative housing facility.

Taylor is being held on a $1.54 million bail and is facing seven felony charges. Arraignment is scheduled on Friday, April 7.

LE needs to make these types of arrests a priority. Kudos to EGPD for helping in the fight against sex trafficking of minors. Our community needs to remain vigilant against these predators and criminals who prey on innocent children. Let's get our priorities straight!
