Two men were arrested on a variety of burglary related charges after Elk Grove Police received a call on suspicious activity.

Officers responded to the 9400 block of Acapulco Way on the late afternoon of Sunday, April 10. The report said there was a suspicious vehicle with two men, one of whom exited.

Upon arrival, officers located Phillip Gonzales Aquino, 52, of Sacramento, sitting in the driver’s seat of the described vehicle. A records check revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen.

Aquino was detained without incident and was found to be in possession of burglary tools. The second person, La Teng Yang, 27, of Sacramento, who matched the description of the passenger, was detained a short distance away.

Yang was found to be in possession of property belonging to the stolen vehicle, burglary tools, and a controlled substance. Both suspects were arrested and booked into the county jail where they are currently in custody with arraignments scheduled for Tuesday, April 11.
