Shoplifiting Suspects on Probation, With Outstanding Warrants Arrested by Elk Grove Police

In two separate incidents, Elk Grove Police arrested suspects yesterday on shoplifting charges.

In the first incident, Lavika Jones, 33, of Sacramento, and another suspect were detained by loss prevention employees after they allegedly shoplifted merchandise from the Kohls department store on Bruceville Road. The second suspect was cited and released while a record check revealed Jones had an active arrest warrant.

Jones was arrested and booked into the county jail but is not eligible for bail. Arraignment is scheduled for Friday, April 21. 

In the other incident, Babita Singh was detained by employees at the Target store on Laguna Boulevard after he allegedly shoplifted goods. Singh, who is on probation, was arrested, booked into the county jail and has been released.
