An Elk Grove man was arrested after he allegedly slammed his victim's head into a sidewalk and punched another person who was tried to intervene.

On the evening of Wednesday, May 17 Elk Grove Police officers were dispatched to a domestic violence incident involving two victims. Responding officers contacted Jeffrey Blum, who allegedly assaulted the two victims.

According to police reports, Blum allegedly struck the primary victim in the chest and face. When the victim fell to the ground, Blum allegedly mounted the victim striking the victim several times against the sidewalk.

When the second victim tried to intervene, Blum reportedly punched that victim in the face several times. Blum was arrested and booked into the county jail, but has been released on bail.
