Juvenile Suspect Arrested by Elk Grove Police on Weapons Charges

A juvenile male was arrested by Elk Grove Police after a late evening traffic stop.

At 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 a vehicle being driven by the 17-year old juvenile suspect from Antioch, Calif. was stopped near Di Lusso Drive and Romanzo Way for a vehicle code violation. A records check revealed the juvenile was on probation and was operating the vehicle without a license.   
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded handgun. Officers also found that the serial number had been scratched off. 

The suspect was taken into custody and transported to juvenile hall. The other occupants were identified then later released to an adult.
