Known Probationer Stopped by Elk Grove Police, Arrested on Suspicion of Possession of Stolen Vehicle

June 19, 2017 |

A known probationer was arrested after a traffic stop by Elk Grove Police.

On Friday, June 19, Elk Grove Police patrol officers stopped a vehicle being driving by Devin Andrew George, 29, of Elk Grove near Elk Grove-Florin and Calvine roads. A records check revealed the license plate on the vehicle was fictitious, and the VIN number of the vehicle was reported stolen.

A search of the vehicle led to the discover of burglary tools, fictitious bills and property that later was determined to have been stolen from a nearby storage facility.

George is being held on $70,000 bail at the county jail and will be arraigned on Tuesday, June 20.
