Women Assaulted, Robbed in Elk Grove's Laguna West Neighborhood

A woman was assaulted and robbed as she was seated inside her vehicle in Elk Grove's Laguna West neighborhood.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25 the victim was seated in her vehicle on the 2600 block of Babson Drive with a door partially open when she was approached by an unknown person. The suspect opened the victim's door, then forcefully removed her from the vehicle and threw her to the ground.

The suspect entered the vehicle and took the victim's purse before fleeing on foot. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, 5’8”, 150 lbs., wearing a black hoodie with a light colored vest, shorts and black shoes.

There were not report of injury to the victim.
