Domestic Violence Suspect Arrested By Elk Grove Police on Extradition Hold For Texas

An Elk Grove man is being held on various charges at the Sacramento County Jail including an extradition hold following an alleged domestic violence incident.

Shortly after 6 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, Elk Grove Police responded to a call for service on a suspected domestic violence incident. Responding officers contacted Jamal Scoggins, 26, who allegedly grabbed his victim by their arm while in a vehicle and refused to relinquish control resulting in visible injuries for the victim. 

A records check revealed that Scoggins had outstanding arrest warrants in Sacramento County, Placer County, and an extradition hold from Smith County, Texas. Scoggins is not eligible for bail, and is scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday, August 29.
