Elk Grove Gas Station Clerk Pushed Down by Suspected Shoplifter, Accomplices

A clerk at a gas station was roughed-up by a person suspected of a late night shoplifting incident.

Just after midnight on Tuesday, August 8, an unknown male suspect allegedly tried to leave the Chevron station on the 8500 block of Bond Road without paying for merchandise. A station clerk tried to prevent the suspect from leaving the store.

In response, the suspect and two accomplices pushed the clerk to the floor and fled the store in an unknown direction with the merchandise. The shoplifting suspect was described as a Black male adult wearing a black hoodie and jeans.

No description of the suspected accomplices was provided. The victim did not sustain any visible injuries.
