A Sacramento woman was arrested on several charges by Elk Grove Police after she allegedly crashed a stolen vehicle.

In the early evening hours of Thursday, August 17, a vehicle being operated by Missy Margaretan Peavey, 20, of Sacramento crashed into a center median near Bradshaw Road and Buna Court. Peavey initially provided responding officers was false identification, and a records check showed the vehicle had been reported stolen.

Once her identity had been established, officers learned Peavey had outstanding arrest warrants. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of burglary tools, a controlled substance, and hypodermic needles.

Peavey was arrested and booked into the county jail where she is being held on two felony and eight misdemeanor charges. Peavey is not eligible for bail and will be arraigned on Monday, August 21.
