A Ceres, Calif. man and a juvenile suspect were arrested by Elk Grove Police and charged with kidnapping and robbery.

Just before 11 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, four suspects confronted a victim in front of their residence on the 9600 block of Apple Mill Drive and allegedly brandished a gun demanding property. When a family member came outside from the residence, the second victim was threatened with the firearm.

The suspects then entered the house threatening others with the handgun. As Elk Grove Police officers arrived at the residence, the suspect fled through the backyard.

Officers were able to apprehend Jorge Ayard, 19, of Ceres and a 17-year old juvenile from Modesto. The two other suspects were not located and the investigation is on-going.

The juvenile was booked into juvenile hall and Ayard was arrested on kidnapping and robbery charges and remains in custody on $250,000 bail at the county jail. Ayard is scheduled for arraignment today.
