A suspect in a late-night shooting was found dead inside an Elk Grove residence.
According to information posted on social media by Elk Grove Police, the shooting occurred on Thursday, September 29 on the 8900 block of Grovetree Way near Elk Grove High School. The female shooting victim escaped the residence and was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
After the escape of the victim, police officers found the male shooting suspect inside the residence dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No further information is currently available.
