Man Robbed at Gunpoint in Apparent Set-up in Elk Grove; Similar To Previous Incident

A victim was robbed at gunpoint in what appears to be an early morning set-up.

According to Elk Grove Police, the victim agreed to meet an unknown woman just after midnight on Friday, October 13. When the victim arrived at a residence on the 9500 block of Little Rapids Way in the Laguna area, he was approached by an unknown suspect who brandished a handgun and demanded his property.

After complying, the suspect discharged the weapon, which was a pellet gun, and struck the victim in the face. The suspect, who was described as a black male adult wearing a dark hooded jacket was wearing jeans, fled on foot. 

Elk Grove Police reported a similar robbery at 2:30 a.m on Sunday, October 8. In that incident police reported that victim, who contacted a woman using an online app, was instead robbed and assaulted.
