October 9, 2017 |

A man was hospitalized after being struck by another vehicle in what appears to have been a road rage incident in Elk Grove.

As reported by Elk Grove Police, the male victim and the suspect were driving their vehicles westbound on Elk Grove Boulevard and were engaged in what was described as "some type of incident" at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, October 8. The victim stopped his vehicle near Emerald Vista Drive, exited, and approached the suspect who was still in his vehicle.

As the victim stood behind the suspect's vehicle, which was described as a four-door light blue sedan, the suspect put his car in reverse and intentionally drove toward the victim and struck him. After hitting the victim, the suspect fled the area in his car.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. The suspect is described as a white male adult, in this 20's.
