Medications Disposal Event Being Held Tomorrow at Elk Grove Police Department

The City of Elk Grove and the Elk Grove Police Department are holding a medication take back collection on Saturday, October 28.

The collection is being held in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Agency's nationwide National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. This one-day event provides an opportunity for citizens to dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs free of charge and anonymous with no questions asked.

Participants are encouraged to remove all pills, tablets and capsules from their packaging and consolidate them into one bag before disposal. Needles, auto injectors, or other sharps will not be accepted.

What:    National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Where:   Elk Grove Police Department (8400 Laguna Palms Way); across the street from City Hall
When:    Saturday, October 28, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
