Elk Grove Police Releases Photos of Suspected Hate Crime Perpetrators

November 3, 2017 |

In what could be a major break in a spate of recent hate crime incidents, Elk Grove Police have released surveillance photos of two men who are suspected of committing other related hate crimes.

At approximately 1:40 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, the individuals pictured above were allegedly involved in spray painting hate-related graffiti on several buildings located at the Emerald Garden Apartments located at 9521 Emerald Park Drive. Officers responded to the apartment complex later that morning and took photographs of the graffiti.

The apartment management company arranged to have the graffiti removed later that day. At this time, detectives believe that the suspects pictured above are directly involved with at least two other reported graffiti cases at the same location.

Police did not specify what the graffiti said, but in two previous incidents in the same complex, the word KKK was sprayed using black paint.

Anyone with information regarding these cases is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Communications Center at (916) 714-5115 or Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00. Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
