Shopper Robbed at Gunpoint in Elk Grove Grocery Store Parking Lot

A shopper at an Elk Grove grocery store was robbed as he was returning to his vehicle.

At approximately 10:40 p.m. on Friday, December 1 the victim was walking in the Winco store parking lot on Sheldon Road when he was approached by black, older model four-door sedan. A suspect exited the car, approached the victim and pretended to be asking a question.

Instead, the suspect displayed a handgun, and demanded his property.  While holding the victim on the ground, the suspect took his personal property.  

The suspect, who was described as an African-American male adult, 26-27 years old, tattoos on his hands and was wearing a grey sweatshirt and light colored jeans. His accomplice driver was described as a female adult wearing a pink hat. 

The victim was not injured during the robbery.
