Man Allegedly Rams Cars While Impaired, Arrested by Elk Grove Police

A Sacramento man is being held at the county jail after an early morning incident where he reportedly rammed a car.

Shortly after 7 a.m. on Monday, March 19, Jayson Whane Thorn (pictured below), 37, was allegedly causing a disturbance at the shopping center on West Taron Drive and Elk Grove Boulevard. Responding officers from the Elk Grove Police Department learned that Thorn drove by a vehicle and threatened the occupant. 

Thorn then reportedly intentionally drove his car into the back of the other vehicle. When officers contacted Thorn, who was still on the scene and displayed objective signs of impairment.

The suspect is being held on $75,000 bail and is charged with driving with a suspended license, impaired driving, and felony charges of making threats of great bodily injury, and assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer.
