April 19, 2018 |

After being assaulted and robbed in the parking lot of an Elk Grove grocery store, the victim also was shot at by three perpetrators.

Just after 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19 the male victim was in the parking lot of the Winco grocery store on Sheldon Road when he was approached by an unknown man. While the victim and unknown person talked, two other men approached the victim, physically assaulted him and demanded his personal property.

After stealing the property, the suspects fled in a dark-colored vehicle with the victim pursuing them in his car. With the victim following the robbers on Highway 99 in an undisclosed direction, one of the three assailants fired two to three shots that struck the vehicle, but not the victim.

The three suspects were all described as Asian males, one with an estimated age of 24 and the other two as 18 to 20 years of age. All three suspects were wearing grey hoodies.
