Two suspects who were initially contacted by Elk Grove Police on suspicion of shoplifting were also found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle. 

On Sunday, April 9, at 7:40 p.m. Lacrecia Monet Harris-Byers, 21, of Sacramento, and Frederick Huel, 48, of Berkley, were contacted after the allegedly stole merchandise from a retailer on the 8500 block of Elk Grove Boulevard. A record check of their vehicle revealed that it had been reported stolen and both had outstanding arrests warrants.

Both suspects were arrested and booked into the county jail. Huel was released by Harris-Byers remains in custody on a $50,000 bail.
