Two Suspects Arrested by EGPD in Camden Neighborhood Drive-by Shooting

Two suspects are in custody at the Sacramento County Jail after they allegedly committed a drive-by shooting in an Elk Grove neighborhood.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers were dispatched to the 8900 block of Roscomare Court in the Camden neighborhood, after receiving reports of two shots being fired at an unknown object. Two suspects, Mitchell Preston Ross (above left), 28, of Live Oak, California and of Manuel Ochoa-Lopez (above right), 43, of Sacramento, were witnessed shooting from a vehicle.

The witnesses provided plate numbers and responding officer located the vehicle being driven by one of the suspects. After both were detained, a probable cause search led to the discovery of two firearms and two spent shell casings.

Records check revealed the guns were not registered to either of the suspects and one of them had been reported stolen. Both suspects remain in custody and arraignment is scheduled for Monday, May 14.
