July 24, 2018 |

An Elk Grove man was arrested after he was allegedly found in the possession of guns not belonging to him and marijuana for sale.

Just before 11 p.m. on Monday, July 23, Elk Grove Police responded to a call regarding a man sitting in a car for several hours on the 10000 block of Wagoner Way, which according to Google maps, is near the parking lot for the Elk Grove campus of Cosumnes River Community College. After officers made contact with the occupant, Giancarlo Ruatti, 18, they observed two guns inside the car.

A record check revealed the guns were not registered to Ruatti, and a subsequent probable search led to the discovery of a half-pound of marijuana, and indicia of illegal narcotics sales. Ruatti was arrested, and remains in custody awaiting arraignment of Thursday, July 25.
