Latest vote tallies show Ly's victory margin narrow in Elk Grove mayor race; Nguyen maintains victory margin while Hume's slips

Vote tallies from the Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections shows margins in the Elk Grove mayoral have narrowed.

While the results show that incumbent Steve Ly ahead by a significant margin to ensure a victorious reelection bid, his lead has shrunk to 44-percent of the total tally with 12,727 votes. In the previous tally release, Ly held 46-percent of the vote.

With Ly margins slipping, the two challengers in the race, Tracie Stafford and Darren Suen had narrowed the gap. Stafford now has 23-percent with 6,563 votes and Suen jumped to 31-percent with 9,022 votes.

In the other two races for the Elk Grove City Council Districts 2 and 4, incumbent Pat Hume has victory margin slip to 60-percent to 39-percent for Andres Ramos while incumbent Stephanie Nguyen has maintained her margin in District 4 over challenger Orlando Fuentes 65 to 35-percent.  

As of this afternoon, countywide 259,480 ballots have been counted with 151,143 unprocessed. The next results will be posted on Tuesday, November 13 after 4 p.m.
