Suspected shoplifters on parole, with outstanding warrants arrested by EGPD

Two men suspected of shoplifting from an Elk Grove gas station convenience store were also found to be on parole and wanted for outstanding warrants.

The two suspects, Daniel Nicolas Gonzales, 28, of Galt, and Zachery Austin Black, 26, of Stockton, allegedly stole merchandise from the Chevron gas station convenience store on Grant Line Road just east of Highway 99. Responding Elk Grove Police officers located their vehicle a short distance away.

Officers found that Gonzales and Black had outstanding arrests warrants, and Black is on parole. Both suspects were taken into custody, and Gonzales was released while Black is not eligible for release and will be arraigned on Friday, March 22.
