Domestic violence suspect arrested by EGPD, allegedly found in possession of meth



An Elk Grove man was taken into custody by Elk Grove Police on domestic violence and narcotics charges.

Just before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, Elk Grove Police contacted Selvenn Prasad, 33, regarding a reported domestic violence incident where he allegedly pushed and choked the victim. A search of Prasad led to the discovery of methamphetamine.

Prasad was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Jail. The suspect is held on felony domestic violence and misdemeanor narcotics charges with arraignment on Thursday, April 18.
