Alleged burglar arrested by Elk Grove Police, spotted on surveilance camera

A Sacramento man was arrested after he allegedly attempted an early morning break-in at an Elk Grove residence.

Just after 2 a.m. on Sunday, May 5, Elk Grove Police were dispatched to the 9100 block of Laguna Center Circle regarding an attempted residential burglary. The residents of the dwelling reported they saw Charles Samuel, 23, enter the backyard and attempting to open a side door.

Responding officers located Samuel in the bed of a nearby parked pick-up truck. Samuel was booked into the county jail on a felony burglary charge and has arraignment on Tuesday, May 7.
