Impaired driving suspect arrested, allegedly tries spitting on Elk Grove Police officers

An Elk Grove man is in custody on suspicion of impaired driving and resisting arrest.
Just
after 10 p.m. on Monday, May 6, Elk Grove Police received calls
regarding a possible impaired driver. Officers contacted John Robert
Chandler, 54, on the 9400 block of Elk Grove Boulevard in a parked
vehicle, and upon contact, reportedly appeared impaired.
When
officers attempted to detain Chandler, he resisted and tried to spit on
the officers. After overcoming his resistance resistance, officers
arrested the suspect.
