Rocklin man pleads guilty to federal child porn charges

A Rocklin, California man pleaded guilty to federal charges of distributing child pornography at U.S. District Court in Sacramento.  The plea was entered by Cameron F. Fox, 35, on Thursday, May 9.
According to court documents, Fox met the 17-year old victim online for sexual purposes and after meeting her in person and having sexual relations, he sent her explicit images. The female victim became concerned with his aggressive behavior and reported the relationship to her mother who in turn contacted the Marin County Sherriff's Department.
The case is the product of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Marin County Sherriff’s Office.
Fox is held at the Sacramento County Jail and is scheduled to be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Morrison C. England Jr. on August 1. Fox faces a maximum statutory penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
