Fight between two groups, stabbing that injured two under investigation by Elk Grove Police



A fight between two groups that resulted in two victims sustaining stab injuries in under investigation by Elk Grove Police.

According to information from EGPD, the incident happened around 8:15 pm. on Thursday, June 6 on the 9600 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road behind the Emerald Park Plaza shopping center when the victims were involved in a fight with another group of people. During the fight, the victims sustained stab wounds. 

Responding officers found one of the running northbound from the scene, was detained and taken to an area hospital for treatment after learning he was wounded. Police learned the second victim went to a local hospital by a friend prior to officers’ arrival. 

One suspect was described as a Caucasian male, 16-20 years old, 5’6”-5’8”, and wearing a white t-shirt. Another suspect was described as a Caucasian male, 16-20 years old, thin build and wearing blue jeans.
